Ingredients
3 ½ sticks butter
¾ cup powdered sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. orange extract
1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Method
Cream butter until light and fluffy scraping the sides of the bowl.
Add in sifted powdered sugar and mix until incorporated.
Add in yolks and both extracts and mix until mix comes back together. Scrape bowl to insure no lumps.
Sift all spices and flour. Add into butter and mix until it just comes together. Do not over mix.
Chill until hard enough to roll out and make cut outs. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
Bake at 340*F until golden brown. |
