Throughout the year, a variety of special events occur around the Walt Disney World® Resort. While many of these events are repeated year after year, others may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience additional Disney magic. The list below provides a sampling of events that typically take place every year.

(January) — This is one race weekend where the smiles easily outnumber the miles. So mark your calendar now to run in the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend. It's the only place in the world where you can earn the exclusive, and highly coveted Disney Medals.
(February) Assemble your fellow princesses for Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend. The royal affair will bring women of all ages together for a half marathon, a 5K, kids' races, and a health & fitness expo. Every woman is a princess, which princess are you?
(March) — ESPN The Weekend is a winter special event at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park packed with all-star athletes, live ESPN telecasts, broadcast personalities and the opportunity to participate in interactive sports experiences with hall of famers.
(March - May) — The Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival, presented by Disneynature, is a special spring event. Held at Epcot® Theme Park in Florida, it's filled with a colorful array of flowers, gardens, topiaries, live music and educational events.
(June - August) — Sounds Like Summer is an annual live concert series at Epcot® theme park that brings together a talented collection of tribute bands to authentically recreate the classic hits of legendary musical icons.
(September) — Night of Joy is a contemporary Christian music festival held at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Hear live performances by today's top bands in contemporary Christian rock, pop and gospel as you ride some of the Park's most rockin' attractions.
(September - October) — Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held in Magic Kingdom® theme park that requires a separate ticket to attend. Dress up in your favorite costume and get ready to treat-or-treat. Advance tickets are on sale now!
(October) — Whether you’re seeking to delve into the details of wine blending or just looking for a few good eats, you’re sure to find a culinary experience you’ll enjoy here at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic.
Begin with one of the six seminars offered by our very own food and beverage experts. Elevate your knowledge from wine appreciation to wine wisdom with a Bordeaux Blending seminar, or take part in a Sake Hour to learn about this enticing Japanese beverage.
After the seminar, stroll to the causeway on Crescent Lake to immerse in a culinary festival with live music and tastings from the resort’s award-winning restaurants and lounges.
(October - November) — The Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival is an autumn special event that transforms Epcot® theme park into a food and wine lover's paradise with specialty food items, culinary events, wine seminars and live musical entertainment.
(November) — Festival of the Masters is a complimentary open-air art festival held in autumn at Disney Springs Area featuring over 150 award-winning artists.
(November-December) — Each year, Santa and Mrs Claus vacation at their all-time favorite resort, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin! Resort guests are invited to participate in numerous holiday activities and entertainment including choir performances, cookie decorating, elf tuck-ins, story telling with Mrs. Claus and of course visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their special Florida tiki hut on select days!
(November-December) —Candlelight Processional is a special holiday event held nightly at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot theme park as part of Holidays Around The World. The event retells the story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator, orchestra and choir.
(November-December) — Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held each winter on select nights at Magic Kingdom® theme park that requires a separate ticket to attend. The event is filled with jolly holiday parades, fireworks and live entertainment.
