House specialties include traditional hors d’oeuvres, gyoza, octopus, shrimp, tempura platters and Kobe beef satay.

The décor at Kimonos is as impressive as the cuisine. Dark teakwood, colorful kimonos and an intimate atmosphere are the inviting hallmarks of this authentic Japanese restaurant and sushi bar.

Diners enjoy Karaoke each evening at 9:30pm.

Meet the Chef

Chef Daniel

Daniel Binghak is a highly accomplished chef with extensive experience in leading culinary operations across notable venues in the United States. A graduate of Shermay Culinary Institute in Singapore and Petra Christian University in Indonesia, Daniel has cultivated a diverse and robust culinary skill set that has propelled him through various esteemed positions. From 2018 to 2022, he served as the Executive Chef at Hard Rock Casino International in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was instrumental in launching new dining concepts for the casino’s restaurants. Prior to this, Daniel held the role of Chef de Cuisine at Tideline Ocean Resort in Palm Beach, Florida, a part of the Kimpton Hotels group, where he managed kitchen operations and led his team to enhance service quality while reducing costs.

Earlier in his career, as the Executive Sous Chef at Columbia Convention Center in South Carolina, he skillfully managed large-scale event catering, including game-day hospitality for up to 4000 guests. His culinary journey began in the art of sushi making, holding positions as a Senior Sushi Chef at Morimoto Restaurant in Philadelphia and Masa Restaurant in New York City, where he perfected his craft in Japanese cuisine. Daniel’s expertise not only spans a variety of culinary techniques and styles but also includes significant experience in menu development, team management, and operational logistics, making him a versatile leader in the culinary industry.

Your guests will not only be impressed with Kimonos’ authentic Japanese menu but also with our modern, yet traditional, atmosphere. Dark teakwood, colorful kimonos and an intimate atmosphere are the inviting hallmarks of Kimonos. We welcome group events of up to 100 guests. Guests also enjoy karaoke sing-a-longs with favorite hits during the late night hour. Custom menus are available to accommodate your group’s needs.
